CCIVD takes an inclusive stance on protecting the right to practice for interior designers in Virginia. We will only support legislation which does not, limit, or restrict the practice of interior design. Additionally our commitment to promoting the health safety and the welfare of the public goes far beyond legislative issues.
CCVID is a partner in research, a leader in education, and an advocvate for the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
CCVID is currently working with professional organizations to develop a Continuing Education conference, providing IDCEC accredited CEU credits, and lectures by leading figures in the building industry.
Recently CCVID sponsored and participated in a research workshop to expand awareness of the impact of the interior environment. Working with the Radford University, Design Thinking MFA program and Certified Interior Designers, CCVID helped teachers at a Spotsylvania County Middle School use the design process and understanding of accessibility to improve learning within special education classrooms.
